Jeff Tweedy Coming to Door Community Auditorium

Alt-country pioneer Jeff Tweedy, one of the most respected and influential songwriters of the last 20 years, is coming to the Door Community Auditorium July 8.

The lead singer and driving force behind Wilco, Tweedy first earned acclaim with the band Uncle Tupelo in 1990. With the release of A.M by Wilco in 1995, Tweedy began his rise to rock preeminence as Wilco’s lyricist and frontman. The band bucked music industry convention and refused to give in to pop influences, carving out their own niche and earning a passionately loyal following.

Tweedy will perform a special solo set as part of the Auditorium’s 20th anniversary Main Stage season, a lineup that also includes Mason Jennings May 7, the Indigo Girls July 12, Rickie Lee Jones July 29, Lee Ann Womack August 14, Leo Kottke Sept. 18 and Howard Fishman Oct. 28.
