Journalist and Author Reads at Edgewood in Door County

Warren Gerds will be at Edgewood Orchard Galleries to share stories from his two recent books, Tales of a Newspaperman and My Father Lives in a Drawer, on August 17 at 4 pm.

In Gerds’ second book, Tales of a Newspaperman: Ice Bowl and Lombardi Through Time, he takes readers back in time to several stories he has written for the Green Bay Press-Gazette, with a focus on one of the most historic football games to ever be played and a coach whose presence is still felt in Green Bay.

Born in West Allis, Gerds graduated from UW – Milwaukee with a degree in journalism and presently writes for the Green Bay Press Gazette. He will be reading several stories aloud and discussing both books from 4 – 5 pm in the Courtyard Gallery at Edgewood Orchard. There is no charge for this event and the public is welcome to attend.
