Kewaunee County Board Seeks Additional Candidates

The race for Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors is gaining momentum with 24 residents vying for a seat on the 2018-2020 board. Kewaunee County is seeking to fill 20 seats on its Board of Supervisors in the spring general election on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Thus far, all but two districts have a candidate and there are just two business days left to submit completed candidacy nomination papers to the county clerk’s office. Kewaunee County Clerk Jamie Annoye encourages interested parties to contact her office immediately for paperwork and reminds those with completed paperwork to turn it in as soon as possible.

In order to run, Kewaunee County residents must be 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen and nomination papers must include a minimum of 20 valid signatures from residents within the candidate’s district. The deadline to turn in completed nomination papers is Tuesday, Jan. 2. The Kewaunee County Clerk’s Office, located at 810 Lincoln St., Kewaunee, is open Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm. District maps can be found on the Kewaunee County website, kewauneeco.org under the blue “District Maps” tab on the left side of the home page.
