Knit Boot Toppers at Greco Gallery

Sturgeon Bay’s Greco Gallery has new cold-weather accessories from Helen Bacon of Helen’s Botanicals. Bacon is a local artist and gardener who hand-dyes silk accessories with botanicals that she grows and collects herself. Bacon also knits and has many new warm fiber-art pieces available in a variety of textures and colors. Her knit boot toppers will keep you warm while adding some color to your winter boots, and her scarves and cowls will help you brave the cold in style. Bacon also has been up-cycling some vintage “granny squares” into new accessories, including knit headbands.

Greco Gallery “an Artistic Boutique” is located at 24 N. Third Ave. in downtown Sturgeon Bay. A collaborative effort to create, share and inspire others, the gallery shows work in various media from a group of local artists, who range from award-winning to budding new ones. Winter hours are Monday-Wednesday by chance; 10 am to 5 pm Thursday; 10 am to 5:30 pm Friday and Saturday; and 10 am to 2 pm Sunday.
