Landmark Buildings Artwork at Hillside Inn

Barb Timmerman is the showcased artist in July at the Hillside Inn of Ephraim. Timmerman’s original acrylic paintings and prints will be featured in the first floor lobby area of the newly reopened inn.

Light, bright and cheerful; this is how Timmerman describes her artwork. She has found that her love of local iconic and historic Door County landmarks, such as the Hillside Inn, has drawn her to paint these charming buildings. These are places that have informed some of her favorite memories since she was five years old: Wilson’s for ice cream, miniature golf at the Red Putter, pancakes at Al Johnson’s, gifts from The Summertime and many more. She thoroughly enjoys using her acrylics to paint her way up and down the peninsula. It is her hope that her paintings will evoke similar fond memories in those who view her work.

Visit the Hillside Inn of Ephraim daily between 10 am and 3 pm to see Timmerman’s work, and to check out the progress on the new events garden overlooking Eagle Harbor.
