Lautenbach’s Hosts Winter Wine and Cherry Fest

The public is welcome to discover the fun of winter at Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery & Market on Feb. 4 from 10 am – 5 pm. The winery and market’s 7th Annual Winter Wine and Cherry Fest will include wine and product tasting featuring the popular tart Montmorency Cherry in celebration of National Cherry Month along with an assortment of food and bakery items to purchase. The popular winter festival will feature the annual Cherry Pit Spit Competition. The contest will begin at 1:30 pm, is open to all ages, and prizes will be awarded to the winner in each category.

The fun will continue with scenic horse-drawn sleigh rides, live jazz music by Erin Krebs and Jeff Johnston from 1 – 4 pm, the opportunity to paint a wine glass, and free trolley rides around Fish Creek, sponsored in part by Orchard Country. “Our festival offers a fun way to spend time with family and friends during our quiet season,” said Carrie Lautenbach-Viste, marketing director at Orchard Country. β€œIt also is a great weekend to come up and enjoy everything Door County has to offer, including the 25th Annual Fish Creek Winter Festival.” Reservations for the horse-drawn sleigh rides are recommended and can be confirmed by contacting John Mayberry at 920.421.1152 or by visiting http://www.mayberryscarriages.com.
