Lauter Talks Travel During Poetry Series

Estella Lauter will take the Dickinson Poetry Series stage July 13, 7 pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County, ​​10341 Water St. (Hwy 42) in Ephraim. She will read a selection of poems about her experiences of traveling both here and to five continents with Overseas Adventure Travel since she retired from the UW in 2004. 

Lauter has published four chapbooks of poems with Finishing Line Press, including one about voyages to the North Channel of Lake Huron and one about her father-in-law’s journey across France with the U.S. Army Artillery during WWI. 

The Dickinson Poetry series meets monthly on the second Wednesday. An open mic follows the reading, providing an opportunity for others to read their poetry, and a reception with the featured poet rounds out the night.
