Lecture Series Covers “Recent Trends in Chinese Politics”

Dr. Wayne Patterson

Dr. Wayne Patterson, Professor of History at St. Norbert College, will present “Recent Trends in Chinese Politics” on Feb. 9 at 9 am, as part of St. Norbert’s Distinguished Lecture Series held at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek.

In his lecture, Dr. Patterson will explore the political, economic, and social changes that China has undergone in recent years. Some of the topics to be covered include “Red Capitalists,” “Netizens,” the “New Left,” migrant workers, farmers, and local corruption.

Patterson’s lecture is free to the public (freewill donations encouraged). Refreshments from Base Camp Coffee Bar will be available for purchase.

Advance reservations are recommended and can be made through the DCA box office, located on Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The box office is open Monday – Friday, 12 – 5 pm. For more information visit http://www.dcauditorium.org.
