Legal Aid Celebrates Anniversary at Uncork Summer

The Legal Aid Society of Door County (LAS) celebrated its 30th anniversary with its first appearance at the Uncork Summer festival on June 22. Participation was part of LAS’s goal to expand its service area to Northern Door County and Washington Island. LAS provides legal services to low-income families and individuals, helping with matters such as government benefits, family law, employment issues, financial problems, estate planning and more.

LAS representatives had fun serving “fresh lawyer” (whitefish) and chips, with all proceeds supporting the society’s goal of providing quality legal services to families and individuals throughout the county.LAS is especially grateful to its donors: Door Guide Publishing, Door County North, Henriksen Fisheries, Sister Bay Bowl, Jim Laughlin, Dan’s Fish, Main Street Market, and Tom, Meredie and David Scrivne
