Letter to the Editor: People’s Court

Our Supreme Court election on April 4 offers us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change from top-down dictatorial rule to a true Court of the People. 

Gerrymandering is on the ballot. The right for doctors to provide proper medical care throughout a pregnancy is on the ballot. A woman’s (and couple’s) right to choose is on the ballot. The potential for a Trump-friendly Supreme Court to overrule your vote in 2024 is on the ballot. The dignity of each and every one of us as individuals is on the ballot. 

Only Janet Protasiewicz offers us the opportunity to reach for each and every one of these. Wisconsin was once a proud and prosperous state. The only way back to that is by allowing the people to be in charge, so your vote matters. The road to a free and prosperous Wisconsin starts with the April 4 election.
