Letter to the Editor: Please Flatten Your Boxes

I don’t visit the Liberty Grove recycling site every single day, but on the days when I do go, the paper bin is always full. I have to dump my loose paper on top of boxes that haven’t been flattened and hope that they don’t blow all over the yard. 

Today there were empty beer cases, empty cardboard boxes that appeared to be food packing boxes and plenty of cardboard Amazon boxes. If people would flatten their boxes, it would increase available space in the dumpster so that loose papers wouldn’t be blowing around the yard. 

Please, let’s not ruin it for everyone. Please flatten your boxes.
