The Maplewood-Forestville Lions Club recently donated $1,000 to Door County Habitat for Humanity (DCHH). The donation from the club will help families in the county acquire and own decent and affordable housing. DCHH was created in 1993 by a group of individuals concerned about the lack of decent affordable housing in the county. Since then, 40 new homes have been built, with the 41st home currently under construction. In addition to the home builds, DCHH also does critical home repairs for families in need, including building accessibility ramps, roof repairs, and painting projects that would be otherwise unaffordable for families.
