Local Artists Give Back to the Hardy Gallery

The Hardy Gallery announces the opening reception of the 2013 Collection Invitational at 5:30 pm on July 19.

This year, the Hardy is honored to have 44 local, established artists selected to exhibit their work. Each exhibiting artist in the exhibit was invited to submit two pieces, one for display and a second piece to be included in the accompanying Collector’s Choice Benefit, the Hardy’s largest fundraising auction. The public may place a bid or purchase the work directly before the close of the auction on August 25 at 1 pm. All proceeds support the nonprofit Hardy Gallery.

An avid participant in the Hardy’s annual Juried Exhibit, Connie Glowacki accepted the invitation this year for the first time because the Hardy is “vital to the health of all artists and wonderful to the community.”

The Collector’s Choice Benefit has been a success from year to year due in no small part to generous artists who are committed to supporting the Hardy’s mission.
