    Wine Glass Painting is the theme for the July 16 session of Tuesdays with Jen Aldrich at Artists Guild in Sturgeon Bay, held 10 am - noon. The cost is $25 and includes all materials.

    Piece by Peace Gallery, in the shops of Green Gables in Ephraim, is featuring an art exhibit entitled “Day is Done.” Several of the artists displaying work in the gallery were asked to create an original interpretation in their media of choice of a photograph taken by gallery owner Kathleen Clark of a Door County sunset.

    Finishing Line Press in Kentucky announced the forthcoming publication of Estella Lauter’s chapbook Transfiguration: Re-imagining Remedios Varo. Transfiguration is based on the work of a brilliant painter, Remedios Varo (1908-1963), who began her life in Spain, followed a Surrealist poet to Paris during the Spanish Civil War, fled from Marseilles to Mexico City during WWII, and created an extraordinary body of figurative work.
