The Hardy Gallery Issues Call for Artists

Ephraim’s Hardy Gallery is pleased to announce that the 2010 prospectus for the 48th Annual Juried Exhibit is now available. Professional and amateur artists working in all media are encouraged to submit work for consideration for the exhibition, which will run from June 12 through July 18.

The Hardy Gallery offers a highly visible and accessible space for artists to exhibit their work to a national and international audience. The Juried Exhibit gives emerging artists an opportunity to gauge their development and established artists the opportunity to explore new ideas and techniques. Artwork chosen for inclusion in the exhibit is selected through a process of careful deliberation among a diverse panel of five jurors.

A unique component of the Juried Exhibit is the annual Wall-to-Wall Salon, a weeklong exhibit comprised of all the artwork submitted for the annual juried exhibit. This event officially launches the 2010 season at a kick-off party on Saturday, May 29 from 5:30 – 7 pm. The public is invited to attend and is encouraged to cast votes for their favorite pieces with the popular “People’s Choice Award.” Attendees may vote for their favorite work by donating $5 per vote. The “People’s Choice Award” winner is determined on the basis of donations collected and will be included in the final juried exhibition.
