Local Students Perform In District Music Festival

Door County students will participate in a District Solo and Ensemble Music Festival on Feb. 10. The festival is sanctioned by the Wisconsin School Music Association and will be hosted by Gibraltar High School on Saturday. 

During the festival, students will perform vocal and instrumental solos, duets, trios and small ensembles before an adjudicator. 

Performers include middle and high schoolers from Gibraltar, Sevastopol and Southern Door Schools, as well as students from Sturgeon Bay High School and Thomas J Walker Middle School. Gibraltar High School music director Charles Eckhardt will serve as the festival manager. 

The festival is free and open to the public.

Gibraltar High School is located at 3924 Hwy 42 in Fish Creek.
