Lottery Tax Credits Increase in 2018

Door County Treasurer Jay Zahn has received information from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue on this year’s lottery credit for the 2018 tax bills. Apparently the larger lottery jackpots have paid off with larger lottery credits for this year’s bills. Lottery credits are based on school district tax rates. Here are 2017 and 2018

Comparisons:  Gibraltar $34.84 (2017),  $47.04 (2018); Sevastopol $65.98, $102.03; Southern Door $106.43, $148.23; Sturgeon Bay $126.22, $181.56; Washington Island $58.68, $87.05.

Now that the county has received lottery credit figures, property tax bills are being printed in the Real Property Listing Office. Residents can expect to receive their bills in early December. The Door County Treasurer will again collect for 15 of 19 municipalities. Payments for those municipalities will also be accepted at Sturgeon Bay and Sister

Bay locations of Associated Bank.
