Mac & Cheese Cook-off to Benefit Helm Foundation April 13

The Wisconsin Cheese Masters store in Egg Harbor will host a Mac & Cheese Cook-off on April 13, 1-3 pm, to raise funds for the Ellie Helm Foundation.

Competing to earn the Best Mac & Cheese title will be celebrated local home chefs Sarah Sawyer, Kaaren Northrop and Anne Emerson, along with professional chefs from the Fireside, Mojo Rosa’s, Casey’s BBQ & Smokehouse, MacReady’s Artisan Bread, Peninsula Players and FEAsT Catering.

A team of three area foodies will judge the cheesy results and select first-, second- and third-place winners. Samples of the delectable creations will be served for $1 each, and attendees may vote for the Peoples’ Choice award. The Ellie Helm Foundation was established in 2018 to honor Ellie Helm’s caring spirit and to support causes she was passionate about, including developing life skills for youth, promoting awareness of depression and preventing suicide in young adults, supporting educational opportunities, and bringing joy, meaningful connections and social engagement to the elderly.
