Maritime Museum is Looking for Tree Decorators

The Door County Maritime Museum is calling all tree decorators for their Merry-Time Festival of Trees. The festival will run from Nov. 14 through Dec. 8 with visitors invited to see what is expected to be an even grander extravaganza of trees during regular museum hours as well at special events planned throughout the nearly month-long festival.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enter a raffle in the hopes of winning their favorite tree. Each tree will be decorated with ornaments appropriate to its sponsor.

“Businesses, organizations, artists and creative individuals are invited to donate fully-decorated trees,” said Amy Paul, the museum’s marketing and communications manager. “A sign with the name of tree sponsors will be prominently displayed with your tree throughout the event as well as mentions in our brochure, on our website, in our electronic newsletter distributions and in other event communications.”
