Martinez Gallery Winter Exhibitions

Sandra and Wence Martinez of Martinez Studio in Jacksonport released their winter exhibition schedule for 2017-18.

The studio/gallery will be part of the Sturgeon Bay Art Crawl, Nov. 17-19. Hours are 12-4 pm Friday, and 10 am – 4 pm Saturday and Sunday. The artists will be at the opening party at Margaret Lockwood Gallery in Sturgeon Bay on Friday, 5 – 7 pm.

From Nov. 16 – Feb. 25, “Piñon II” by Sandra and Wence Martinez and the painted study “Piñon” by Sandra Martinez, will be exhibited at El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument’s Biscailuz Gallery. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Craft in America on PBS. This exhibition features artists in the recent episodes “Borders” (the episode we are mentioned in) and “Neighbors.”

From Oct. 21 – March 11, “Buffalo Robe Red” by Wence Martinez was selected to be shown at the Fuller Craft Museum outside of Boston. The exhibit is titled Gender Bend: Women in Wood, Men at the Loom.

From Dec. 8 – Jan. 27, “Buffalo Robe Quinto” by Wence Martinez will be on view at the Wayne Art Center’s Annual Juried Craft Exhibition in Craft Forms. The Wayne Art Center is located in Wayne, Penn.
