McHugh Breaks Own National Record

Conner McHugh, 17, of the Door County YMCA Doorfins Swim Team set a national record in the 50-meter breast stroke on Tuesday at the 2013 YMCA Long Course National Championship in Atlanta, Ga., with a time of 28.53, beating his own record from 2012 of 29.47. Conner will also compete in the 100-meter and 200-meter breast stroke events at the Nationals, which run through Aug. 2. Conner will be a senior at Sevastopol High School.
