Melinda Myers to Teach at The Clearing in Door County

Nationally syndicated gardening expert and author, Melinda Myers, will teach a one day Workshop Program class, “Building a Beautiful Garden,” at The Clearing Folk School Sept. 27 from 9 am – 4 pm.

Myers has 30 years of horticulture experience, and as a gardening expert, TV host and author, she has written over 20 gardening books. She hosts the nationally syndicated Melinda’s Garden Moments airing on TV and radio stations through the U.S. and several radio stations in Canada. Myers is a columnist and contributing editor for Birds and Blooms magazine, and hosted The Plant Doctor radio program for over 20 years, as well as Great Lakes Gardener on PBS. She has a master’s degree in horticulture, is a certified arborist and was a horticulture instructor with tenure.

Tuition for the one-day class at the Jens Jensen Visitor Center located at 12171 Garrett Bay Road is $82 and includes a catered lunch. Registration is required. Start planning for next year’s garden with information on the latest perennials, new plant introductions, plant combinations, vertical accents and more.
