Michigan Street Bridge Closed Next Week

Lift span open after 4 pm daily for marine traffic 

The Michigan Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will be closed Monday, Oct. 12 through Thursday, Oct. 15 from 7 am to 4 pm daily for repair and maintenance on the overhead concrete counterweights for the lift span on both sides of the bridge, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region.

The Door County Highway Department will be conducting the work. 

The lift span on the bridge will also be closed to marine traffic during that time. The lift span will open for marine traffic from 4 pm to 7 am.

Traffic should use the Maple/Oregon bridge or the Bayview Bridge during the closure.
