Miller Wins Hey Hey 5k

Ryan Miller of Fish Creek won the 6th edition of the Hey Hey 5k on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Miller finished in 19:28, 33 seconds ahead of second-place Brady Nieman of Sturgeon Bay. Eric Biehr of Muskego took third.

Raissa Ashman of Seymour paced the women in a time of 22:46, followed by Gemma Mrozinsky of Sturgeon Bay and Audrey Deyo-Buechler of Egg Harbor.

The day’s youngest finishers were a quartet of 8 year-olds: Hudson Bridenhagen, Niko Bonovich, Griffin Hartel and Salem Duebler.

Top three overall and top masters division winners (over 40 years old) received gift cards from Door County Brewing Co. All finishers received a race shirt and pint glass. The event kicked off the annual Baileys Harbor Autumnfest celebration.
