Village of Ephraim:  At its regular monthly board meeting on Aug. 11, trustees of the Village of Ephraim were still energized by a series of meetings held the previous week with the landscape architecture and planning company livingLAB. “I don’t want this to go to the graveyard,” said Village President Mike McCutcheon. All five village trustees voiced pride in the process that took place with livingLAB and enthusiasm for the future planning efforts for the village. The idea is to update the look of the village with uniform signage, make the village more accessible for all forms of transportation, from walking and biking to vehicular traffic, but still maintain its old-world charm. Residents are asked to view livingLABs’ presentation on the village website (ephraim-wisconsin.com) in order to provide comments to the village. You can also stop by the village office with a jump drive to have the presentation loaded onto the drive. In the spirit of progress engendered by the livingLAB sessions, the village board directed the Facilities Committee to look into an electric vehicle charging station for the village.
