Murphy, Taylor Release Anti-War Opus

Northern Door musicians Terry Murphy and Paul Taylor have joined forces on a new studio project, Behind the Tank: a 12-plus-minute anti-war opus that was intended to be part of a different project, but it didn’t fit in with the other works.

The idea for the song came a few years ago while Murphy was comparing experiences of growing up in the 1960 with fellow musicians Paul Sowinski and Mike Judy. When Murphy was growing up north of Green Bay, the members of a legionnaires’ post would drive a WWII tank down Main Street during the annual Memorial Day parade and march behind the tank.
