Namur Belgian Heritage Foundation Receives Grant

The Namur Belgian Heritage Foundation recently received a grant of $1,500 from the Historic Preservation Fund and the Clifford and Clara Herlache Foundation of the Door County Community Foundation. These funds will be used to install a kitchen in the Belgian Heritage Center, formerly the St. Mary of the Snow Church. The kitchen will be used for the foundation’s numerous events, most of which feature the distinctive Belgian food and traditions of the area.

The next event is a concert by Parks, Phillips & Co. on April 14, where Belgian “booyah” and bread will be served.
