Neighbor-to-Neighbor Announces 2012 Community Impact

1,079 individuals benefited from services provided by Neighbor-to-Neighbor Volunteer Caregivers in 2012. Door County residents saved more than $400,000 in medical expenses by utilizing the organization’s services and 113 volunteers donated 3,983 hours for the organization.

Neighbor-to-Neighbor’s services are provided free of charge; the organization is supported entirely through donations, local and regional grants, United Way funding, and fundraising events. The organization’s 2013 budget is $48,620.

Ann Bennett, Executive Director, states, “Due to the growth of the medical equipment loan program in the past couple years, we are in need of community volunteers to assist us with this program in the future.”
