Neighbor to Neighbor Receives Green Bay Packers Foundation Grant

The Green Bay Packers Foundation has awarded a grant of $3,500 to Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteer Caregivers to support their Medical Equipment Loan Program through equipment upgrades and maintenance. In addition, the Door County Community Foundation has also awarded a grant of $2,200 to Neighbor to Neighbor, through the Ruth & Hartley Barker Memorial Fund, for the same project. These two grants will allow for new parts to be purchased to make necessary upgrades and repairs to existing equipment stock, including new underarm and hand grips for crutches, new tips for crutches and canes, and new brakes or glides for walkers.

Neighbor to Neighbor is a local nonprofit organization that provides short-term medical equipment loans for people of all ages, peer companions for homebound elderly individuals, respite care for primary caregivers, and the Lemonade Club, a cancer survivor support group. All services are provided free of charge.

For more information about either of these grants, or to borrow equipment from or donate equipment to Neighbor to Neighbor, call 920.743.7800.
