New Faculty Members Welcomed to Peninsula School of Art

“Winter Silhouette,” woodblock print, by Nick Wroblewski. He will teach Woodblock Prints on the Press, Sept. 12–14.

The catalog of 2013 Summer/Fall workshops at Peninsula School of Art features 43 new instructors in the line up of 124 adult workshops.

Among the new nationally-recognized faculty members are: Laura Robb (still life painting), Kim English (plein air figurative painting), Morgan Samuel Price (plein air landscape painting), Allen Rokach (nature photography), Garrett Krueger (bronze casting), Nick Wroblewski (printmaking), Carl Purcell (watercolor painting), Andy Cooperman (jewelry), Ginny Zipperer (ceramics), Stacey Williams-Ng (digital arts), and James Slausen (lecture).

According to Karen Becker, Director of Programs and architect of the curriculum, the purpose of bringing in new faculty members is to maintain the School’s fresh perspective.

“These instructors are selected for their exciting, unique take on their mediums,” she says. “When new techniques and ways of expanding on basic fine art media are introduced, students feel that we are supporting them throughout their artistic journey.”

Registration began for Contributing Members on Feb. 27; general registration (Basic Members included) begins March 13.

In addition to the new faculty members, Peninsula School of Art is expanding its weekday hours this summer. This change allows students increased evening access to the studios.

Peninsula School of Art, open Monday through Saturday 8 am – 5 pm, is located at 3900 County Highway F in Fish Creek.
