New Resident at Open Door Bird Sanctuary

Open Door Bird Sanctuary has welcomed a new snowy owl to its avian family from a Minnesota rehab facility. Now the sanctuary wants your help in naming the beautiful bird.

You can meet the new feathered friend during the next Winter Open Day, March 18, 11 am – 4 pm. Also make use of the trails for a snowshoe, cross-country ski (supply your own equipment) or hiking excursion; then warm up by a bonfire before the afternoon feedings and a guided trail hike.

Send your owl-naming submissions to [email protected] by March 31. The winner will receive two Open Door Bird Sanctuary passes and a clothing item.

Entrance is $10 for adults, $7 for ages 5-12, and free for those younger than 5.
