It’s getting to be that time of the year. That time when fall creeps in on summer, not wholeheartedly, but sparingly, with highs temperatures of 65 every so often.

The game of golf puts one in many odd situations – think playing with that incredibly skilled and incredibly strict father-in-law. Or in a match with your boss, whom you’d much rather lose to and guarantee some extra vacation time.

All Southern Door alumni, family and friends are welcome to join the 1989 State Championship Football Team in their reunion goal to purchase new uniforms for the Southern Door football team.

This time of year is always a fun one for me. The weather, pretty much regardless of where you go, is bound to be beautiful. Door County summers taught me that and New York summers answered the call as well.

My family was always into sports. Really into sports. This was always evident by simply viewing the garage, where bins and hooks and shelves upon shelves supported the various equipment needed to field an Olympic team.

Events.

There was a lot of beautiful golf played last week at the PGA Championship in Louisville. Rory McIlroy won the event at 16 under par, outpacing some of golf’s thoroughbreds in the process.
