Adaptive Golfers Are Up For The Challenge

Most of us hackers take the game of golf for granted; the fact that we can throw our clubs in the trunk, head to the golf course, walk to the first tee, and start swinging.

First Two-Time Winner in Horseshoe Bay Member / Guest

Horseshoe Bay member James “J.J.” Johnson of Sister Bay and his guest Stu Sickles captured the first repeat victory of the Men’s Member/Guest Invitational at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club on Saturday, June 20.

Ferdon Named Big 12 Coach of the Year

Sylvia Ferdon, Baileys Harbor summer resident and ladies head golf coach at Baylor University, was recently named Big 12 Coach of the Year for the 2009 season.

The Clearing Folk School’s 9-hole golf scramble, Play “Fore!” The Clearing, is scheduled for Monday, June 29 at Maxwelton Braes Golf Resort with a shotgun start at 10 am.

2009 spring golf kicked off with two hole-in-ones, on the same day, at the same golf course, on the same hole! Both occurred on May 8 on hole number three at The Orchards, although the two golfers were not playing together.
