Night Photography Know-How

Join Gills Rock photographer Denny Moutray as he shares tips and tricks on photographing the night sky in one of the best places on the peninsula to do so – Newport State Park. 2 pm.

Lighthouse Lore

Join the Northern Door Storytellers Guild for the first of two annual autumn weekends of Eagle Bluff Lighthouse tales. There will be tales of the sea, traditional song and legends in verse, all told beneath the light of lanterns. 6:30 pm.

Wearable Art

This weekend marks the third and final Door County Wearable Art Show of 2016. Stock up your fall wardrobe with contemporary, artist-made apparel, accessories and jewelry in a wide range of styles and sizes. 9am.

What’s That Plant?

Join a naturalist at Potawatomi State Park for a Saturday morning Plant Identification Walk to identify fall’s shrubs, trees, forbs and blooming plants. 9:30 am.

Think Pink

Carlsville will don its best and brightest pink during Carlsville Goes Pink, a charity event for Door CANcer (complete with pink pumpkins).

Chefs for a Day

Enjoy a gourmet selection of wine, cheeses, dinner and desserts (along with a raffle and silent auction) while benefiting the United Way of Door County at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club. 6 pm.

Clay, Paint and Cold Wax

Join artists Ginnie Cappaert, Rebecca Carlton, Tony Staroska and Emmett Johns as they open their studios for an afternoon of demos in clay technique, oil and cold wax painting, and acrylic landscape painting. 1 – 3pm.

Little Eddie Big Cup

Gather your favorite golfing friends and join the 3rd Annual Little Eddie Big Cup at Peninsula State Park Golf Course, honoring the spirit of the late Ed Strege while benefiting the Ed Strege Family Memorial Fund and the Mental Health Awareness Fund.

Little Known Blei Works

You have probably read some of Norbert Blei’s writing, but have you seen his artwork? Head to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Gallery in Ephraim to take in a selection of Blei’s watercolor and mixed media works while enjoying short selections of his writing read by Door County poets Al Genova, Sharon Auberle, and Jude Genereaux. 12 pm.
