Nonprofit Education Series Events

The Nonprofit Education Series, sponsored by the Door County Community Foundation, the Raibrook Foundation, and the United Way of Door County, continues on May 6 with “Lessons from a Career in Nonprofit Management” and “Is Your Organization Covered?” The day begins at The Lodge at Leathem Smith at 8 am with breakfast. The program will be from 8:30 to 11:45 am.

“Lessons from a Career in Nonprofit Management” will be an interactive discussion led by Tom Martin. For nearly 28 years, Martin was the president & CEO of Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin, a multi-service social services agency with an annual budget of more than $14 million. He will share the lessons and stories from his long career working with boards of directors and leading nonprofit organizations. This will be more of a dialogue than a lecture, so come prepared with questions and topics you’d like to discuss.

Claire Flitcroft and Lynda Stickler will detail the liabilities and insurance coverage needed to keep agencies protected during the second portion of the presentation.

The Nonprofit Education Series is free to the staff of local charities, their volunteers, and members of their boards of directors. Register in advance by sending an email to [email protected].
