Waseda Farms Campaign Raises $22,500 to Help Nonprofit Partners

Thanks to the Waseda Farms You Buy We Give Campaign, more than 4,000 pounds of beef sold means that nonprofits in our community have an extra $22,500 to help those in need. This year, more than 4,000 pounds of locally raised, certified organic ground beef was sold in January and 100 percent of the proceeds are being donated to nonprofit partners that provide meals for those in need.

The money will be split between four nonprofit partners: NEW Community Shelter, Green Bay; De Pere Christian Outreach Food Pantry, De Pere; Boys and Girls Club of Door County, Sturgeon Bay; Loaves and Fishes, Sturgeon Bay.

“Our Waseda Farms family understands that life is better when we eat well. Our passion is to help local families see the benefit of eating better, more nutritious food,” said Lutsey. “We cannot forget that some in our community don’t have access to the basic meals they need to be healthy.”

Waseda Farms’ customers who purchased a pound of grass-fed ground beef from the local Baileys Harbor and De Pere retail locations helped make the donations to local nonprofit partners possible. The You Buy We Give Campaign is keeping those food dollars right here in this community, helping local families.

Waseda Farms promoted its campaign to its customers, and nonprofit partners also helped spread the word. Lutsey plans to continue the Waseda Farms You Buy We Give Campaign in January 2018. Learn more at wasedafarms.com.
