Obituary: Anna Lisa Jilburg

October 23, 1973 ~ July 4, 2022

Our loving daughter and sister, Anna Lisa Helena Jilburg, died July 4, 2022, at the Roots Residential Adult Family Home in Racine, Wisconsin after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Anna Lisa was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 23, 1973, at Swedish Covenant Hospital to Joanna and Roy Jilburg.  Our family moved to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin in July 1979, at which time Anna Lisa was enrolled at the Southern Door School District.  After high school, Anna Lisa attended both the Sturgeon Bay and Green Bay NWTC.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Joanna Gjertina Jilburg, and both sets of grandparents.  Leaving as survivors the immediate family, including her father Roy, brother Erik, uncle Lloyd Jilburg and numerous cousins.

Anna Lisa was a beautiful, loving daughter and a kind and generous human being who shared her love with everyone.  She was baptized and confirmed at Hainesville Lutheran Church and had a strong Christian faith.  We wish to thank all those who cared for her at the Roots Residential Adult Family Home. Also, Door County Family Programs for their efforts regarding Anna Lisa’s three mental illnesses.

A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 until the time of service.  The service will be live streamed on the Forbes Funeral Home Facebook page. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hainesville Lutheran Church or to N.A.M.I. , the National Alliance for the mentally ill.
