Obituary: Arthur James Williamson

December 28, 1942 ~ April 19, 2021

Arthur James Williamson died peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the age of 78.

He was born on December 28, 1942 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, son of the late Ragnvald “Ray” K. & Solveig Williamson.  In 1961 he graduated from Sevastopol High School.  On October 12, 1963 he married Sandra M. Fiske in Sturgeon Bay.  She preceded him in death on February 24, 1965.  On June 21, 1969 he married Renee Rasmussen in Sturgeon Bay.

Art enlisted into the Air Force from 1965 to 1968.  He then worked as a crane operator at Bay Shipbuilding, Inc for many years.  He then worked as Parking Enforcement for the City of Sturgeon Bay until he retired.  He would give anyone a ticket.  Even gave his future son-in-law a parking ticket.  After he retired in 2007 he enjoyed going for rides with his wife and enjoyed getting together with family for game nights.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 52 years, Renee and their children Cheryl “Cheri” (Dave) Sperber and Brad Williamson.  He is further survived by four granddaughters Jacy Ann Williamson (fiancée Nicholas LeMieux), Sturgeon Bay, McKayla Williamson (fiancée Dakota Steinman), OR; McKenzie Sperber, Forestville and Emma Williamson, OR and great grandchildren Phoenix R LeMeiux, Sturgeon Bay and Jaxon Steinman, OR. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.  He was also preceded in death by Robert Williamson, brother, John Williamson, brother and Sandra Williamson, sister.

Cremation has taken place at Simple Cremations, Green Bay a short memorial service will be held at 4:30 on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Bay View Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay.

The family will great relatives and friends on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Bay View Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay, from 3:00 until 4:30.
