Obituary: Betty Weiss

Betty Weiss passed way peacefully in Sister Bay, WI on November 23, 2017. She was born August 6, 1924 in Eckman, North Dakota to Leonard and Olga Riddle.

She married Eugene Weiss on May 29, 1948. They had two children Steven (deceased) and Karla (Weiss) Roth. Two grandchildren: Erik Roth (Tauna) and Andrew Roth (Katie) and two great-grandchildren Nozomi and Ronin.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene.

Betty was a graduate of St. Olaf College and also attended the University of Minnesota. She was a registered dietician and worked many years at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay before retiring.

Betty was a long-time resident of Baileys Harbor, where she was a member and organist for over 40 years at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Baileys Harbor. Most recently a member of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran church in Ellison Bay, WI

Memorial Service will be held on January 5, 2018 at 2 pm at the Gathering Room in the Meadows at Scandia Village in Sister Bay, WI.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor or to a Charity of your choice.
