Obituary: Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Mary Kohlbeck

Jacqueline “Jackie” Mary Kohlbeck, 87, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at Rennes Health and Rehab in DePere on Jan. 19, 2018.  She was born Nov. 30, 1930, in Sturgeon Bay, to Earl and Genevieve (DeWitt) Gerlach.  On Jan. 14, 1950, she married Rubert J. Kohlbeck in Sturgeon Bay, he preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1998.

Jackie kept very busy raising her six children and along with her husband Rube owned and operated “Rocking K Saddlery” for many years.  She always enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include six children, Mary (Jim) McFarlin, Sturgeon Bay; Kay (Lee) Alberts, Appleton; Nancy Muhr, Sturgeon Bay; Teresa (Dale) Massart, Luxemburg; Fran (Perry) Pavlat, Casco; Michael (Cheryl) Kohlbeck, Sturgeon Bay; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 great-grandsons, son-in-law, Carl Muhr; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday.  In-lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.  Forbes Funeral Home & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
