Obituary: Jerome A. Micolichek

Jerome A. Micolichek, 87, of Sturgeon Bay, died at Door County Medical Center. He was born to George and Margaret (Sipiorski) Micolichek in Green Bay. Jerome served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955-57. On Aug. 20, 1958, he married Katherine Marie Williams at Holy Trinity Church in Pine Grove. For more than 30 years, Jerry worked in shipping and receiving for Super Value Stores in Green Bay. He also worked as a valet for St. Vincent Hospital for 18 years. Jerome knew the fruits of hard labor as a young man running the family farm as the eldest. The focus of his entire life was to preserve family and raise his own family in a loving, compassionate and strong manner. He enjoyed snowmobiling, being outdoors, building tree forts, restoring a cherry red 1966 Mustang and reusing parts to fix things around the house and yard. A memorial service was held June 14 at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay.
