Obituary: Jona Kay (Potter) Biddlestone

May 11, 1951 ~ December 21, 2022

Jona Kay Biddlestone, 71, died unexpectedly December 21, 2022. She was living in Jacksonport, Wisconsin with her husband, Frank.

She was born on May 11, 1951, to John and Patricia (Downend) Potter in Boise, Idaho. She graduated from Borah High School in 1969 before going on to graduate from the Radiologic Technology program at St. Luke’s Hospital in 1971. During her successful career, she worked in emergency rooms, cardiac cath-labs and Nor-Dor Clinic.

On February 12, 1983, Jona married Frank Biddestone in Boise, Idaho. They began their life together and lived all over the country – Utah, California, Wisconsin, and Missouri. Wisconsin always felt like home, and they settled into their “house in the woods” in Jacksonport in 2019 with their dog, Moose. Together they enjoyed traveling and went on some epic adventures around the world. Jona was always game for trying out new toys and they shared in many – from hotrods to yachts. She was the world’s best co-pilot and created great itineraries to get the most out of their trips.

Jona relished in her role as Gramma to Andrew, Lea, Chip, and Jake. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and was incredibly proud of them. Jona supported them in everything they did. When she could not be there in person you could find her watching online. They will honor her by fulfilling her wish that they “make good choices.”

Jona will be missed by her loving husband of 40 years, Frank; three children, Brad (Kelly) Biddestone of Glenwood Springs, CO, Linsay (Mike) Hohmann of Peoria, AZ, and Alyssa (Brad) Rasmusson of Jacksonport, WI; four precious grandchildren, Andrew and Lea Hohmann, and Charles and Jacob Rasmusson; father, John Potter of Boise, ID; and her sister, Marcia Peterson of Boise, ID.

She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia (Downend) Prindel.

In lieu of cards and flowers, please raise a toast and celebrate the life of this incredible woman with a brandy old fashioned. A gathering for friends and family will be announced at a later date.

Casperson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Sister Bay is assisting the family with arrangements. Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Jona may be shared with her through her tribute page at www.caspersonfuneralhome.com.
