Obituary: Kay M. Jones

November 7, 1959 ~ July 1, 2020

Kay Marie Jones, 60, of Sturgeon Bay, died at her home with her family by her side on July 1, 2020.  She was born on November 7, 1959, in New Holstein, WI to Carroll and Lorna (Vandermissen) Bailey.  On November 1, 2008, she married the love of her life, Samuel Jones in Sturgeon Bay.  Kay worked in the medical field for 23 years.

Kay loved cooking, hosting Packer parties, and spending time with her friends and family.  She also loved leading her scooter rides, gardening, watching wildlife and camping in the yard.  She was truly a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Jones; two daughters, Nicole Jeanquart, Kewaunee; Ashley (James) Kusch, Sturgeon Bay; two grandchildren, Alyssa Kohler and Mason Jeanquart; two brothers, Wayne (Bonnie) Bailey, Green Bay, and Lee (Terry) Bailey, Sturgeon Bay; two sisters, Kim (Doug) Welch, Sturgeon Bay, and Marsha Bailey, Sturgeon Bay; her cats, Nora, Emma, and Lucy.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

All are welcome to a celebration of life at 1:00 p.m. July 11, 2020, at Kay and Sam’s house (4037 Peterson Road, Sturgeon Bay).  Visitation will be at their home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.  A luncheon will be held after the service.
