Judith “Judy” Rabach, 76, of Sturgeon Bay, died surrounded by family on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Judy was born on April 7, 1942 in the Town of Gardner to the late Clarence and Lorraine (Bouche) Bosman. She attended Gardner Grade School and graduated from Brussels High School in 1959. After high school, Judy attended Door-Kewaunee Normal School before finding employment at the Milwaukee Shoe Company. It was at the shoe company where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Ralph, whom she married on Sept. 22, 1962.
Together, Ralph and Judy raised their four children on the family farm. Judy loved gardening, word searches, occasional visits to the casino with Ralph, and spoiling her husband, children, and grandchildren. Looking for the next best recipe to try out on the family was always on her mind. If a meal didn’t include at least two meats, it really wasn’t a meal.
Judy will be missed by her husband, Ralph, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage; three daughters and one son, Carri (Joel) Emmerich, Tammy (Les) LaViolette, Dawn (Larry) Uecker, and Steve (Annie) Rabach. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Christina (Jesse), Danny, Amanda (Owen), Forrest, and Bennett; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Abigail; an uncle; two aunts; nieces and nephews; cousins; and stepbrothers and stepsisters.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lorraine and stepfather, Wenzel “James” Hrabik.
Her life will be honored with a memorial service held at 4 pm on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Dr. Matthew R. Knapp, Sr., of Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church, officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 pm until the time of service.
“Our family would like to extend warm wishes of gratitude to Door County Emergency Services and the caring and compassionate nurses at Bellin Hospital’s Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.”
