Obituary: Kathleen “Kath” Harrison

February 18, 1948~June 27, 2022

Kathleen “Kath” Harrison, 74, of Baileys Harbor, died Monday June 27, 2022 at Door County Medical Center after suffering a sudden and unexpected aneurysm at home Sunday evening.

Kath was born February 18, 1948, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of the late Robert and Francis “Jo” (O’Reilly) Clinch. She graduated from Highland High School in 1965. Kath would meet her husband-to-be in Europe where he was stationed in the United States Air Force and was married to Rawland “Rex” Harrison a year later. She discovered Facebook and developed online friendships with Scottish Terrier friends across the globe. Kath discovered the Door County Scotty Rally and returned every year until relocating in 2013 after Rex’s retirement. She and Rex have enjoyed 48 wonderful years together, seeing the world and living throughout our country with Rex’s military assignments and post military work locations.

Kath was a sensitive woman, and her selflessness was demonstrated through organ and tissue donation. She was a talented artist, painting portraits and scenes with an astounding good eye for detail. Kath loved animals, especially horses and Scotties and enjoyed horseback riding and caring for her four-footed kids.

She is survived by devoted husband, Rex; her beloved dogs, Maddie, Cooper, and Lacie; brothers, John Clinch of Peoria, IL and Dan Clinch of Moriarty, NM; sisters, Barbara (Mike) Kepsel of Albuquerque NM and Laura Ervin of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law, Gina (Hawkes) Clinch and nieces and nephews, Eric, Matt, Erin, Richard, Liz, James, Kelly, and Megan.

Kath was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jo Clinch; brother, TSgt Edward Clinch, USAF; and nephew, Robbie Clinch.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a local humane society or foodbank.

A memorial service will be held at Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 with Pastor Reeder Herrick officiating.
