Obituary: Orville Frederick Kay

Aug. 5, 1926 – Oct. 17, 2019 

Orville Frederick Kay, 93, of Forestville died at Door County Medical Center. He was born in Brussels to Emil and Lydia (Maedke) Kay.

Orville was a lifelong resident of Door County. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, where he was a past elder and served on the Cemetery Committee. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau and the Southern Door Snow Drifters Snowmobile Club.

Survivors include his cousins and very good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; and sister Ruby.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 21, 11 am, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Kolberg, Wisconsin, with Pastor Curt Grube officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 20, 4-7 pm, at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay; and Oct. 21, 10-11 am, at the church.
