Obituary: Ronald Albert Coppersmith

Ronald Albert Coppersmith, 68, of Hartford and the town of Gardner passed away on July 8, 2017.  He was born December 24, 1948 in Milwaukee to Francis and Mary (Gagliano) Coppersmith.  Ronald graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee.   He had distinguished service in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era.  Ronald was member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #0324.

On November 20, 1976 he married Mary Patricia Derse in Milwaukee.  He was employed and retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Milwaukee.  Ronald and Mary had a summer home in the town of Gardner.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; three sons, Andrew (Crystal) Coppersmith, Milwaukee; Steven (Erin) Coppersmith, Sussex; Kyle (Lindsay) Coppersmith, Grafton; six grandchildren, Dillon, Ian, Hayden, Cullen, Leila and Lucas; five sisters, Barbara (Rex) Rhodebush, Mary Jo (Douglas) Kirkish, Susan (Bob) Criss, Anne (Bruce ) Santistevan, Karen (John) Dequardo; a brother, Jeff Coppersmith.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Memorial services will be 2:30 pm Friday July 14, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Menomonie Falls. Visitation will at the church on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
