Old Time Photographers Win Big

Third place winner for Best Portrait of Staff.

Baileys Harbor photographers Jennifer Ricci, Tanya Vahrenkamp and Bill Vahrenkamp were recognized at the 2014 Antique and Amusement Photographers International (AAPI) Photo Contest held Feb. 6 in Galveston, Texas. Ricci and Vahrenkamp received a total of five awards at the event.

Ricci earned four ribbons including the second place in Best Group Portrait, Best Portrait of Any Era and Best Self Portrait as well as third place ribbon for Best Portrait of a Man. Tanya and Bill Vahrenkamp received a third place ribbon for Best Portrait of Staff.

The annual competition attracts hundreds of entries representing photo studios across the United States, Canada and Europe. AAPI is a professional association for photographers and vendors specializing in souvenir photography including antique or “Old Time Photos,” special events, historical re-enactments, and amusement portraits.
