Overheard and Shout Outs: Dec. 4, 2015

OVERHEARD

Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“I only bend over for chocolate.”

“‘Grow up?’ I’m seven!”

“Would you rather I fork you to death or spoon you to death?” – from the mouth of an 8-year-old

“Sounds like he’s slappin’ but I don’t see no thumbs smacking.”

“These two Asian girls next to me are convinced I’m Nate Coulliard.”

“Chocolate is brown, so no, brown food is not yucky.”

SHOUT OUTS

Is there someone or something that deserves a pat on the back or a slap on the wrist?

A shout-out to all of the organizers and participants of the holiday festivals on the peninsula. Thank you for spreading holiday cheer!

A pat on the back to volunteers of the Thanksgiving community dinners. We are thankful for you!

Shout-out to everyone who is keeping their holiday shopping local.

A shout-out to ABC Family and its “25 Days of Christmas” – best part of my December!
