Overheard and Shout Outs: Feb. 5, 2016

OVERHEARD

Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“I’ll park my ditto here.”

“When in doubt, barrel roll.”

“My eyelashes have decided to declare war against my eyes.”

“It’s time to get with the 20th century.”

“As long as I still get paid, it’s okay.”

“I mean, who just calls to say, how are you, I hear you got punched in the face?”

“If you just bought me a little donkey I would shut up about it already.”

SHOUT OUTS

Is there someone or something that deserves a pat on the back or a slap on the wrist?

A shout out to the fantastically charming Peninsula Pulse broomball team for being such good sports this season!

On that note, a pat on the back to “Baldy” and everyone else involved with organizing the Door County Broomball League this year. It has been a blast!

Shout-out to Peninsula School of Art for an awesome, whimsical evening of costumes, fun and competition during the Mad Hatter’s Ball.

Pat on the back to the organizers of the Baileys Harbor Winter Carnival and the Fish Creek Winter Festival! Thanks for giving us yet another reason to brave the winter weather in Door County.

Be a part of the Pulse! Send over your SHOUT OUTS, OBSESSIONS, OVERHEARDS, or PET PEEVES to [email protected] with one of the above categories in the subject line…and, let us know if you’d prefer the submission be printed anonymously.
